It's Monday, What Are You Reading?

Just Finished:

Look for this review tomorrow!

Currently Reading:

I'm having kind of a hard time getting into this one. One word for this book: gritty.

Next Up:

I randomly picked this book up at the library. Augusten Burroughs has a review quote on the back of the book. It was enough to make me pick it up.

What are you reading this week?

  1. I'm just finishing Louis Sachar's "The Cardturner." Who knew you could write YA about the game of bridge?

  2. That looks like an interesting selection. Is America Pacifica fiction? The third one looks good too.

  3. I'm also in the middle of America Pacifica right now! Totally agree: gritty is an accurate description. I wasn't so sure about it for the first 30 pages or so, but I'm thick in the middle of the mystery now and feel invested to see it through. North's world-building is interesting, though I'm worried this is the sort of book to give me nightmares!

  6. @Sarah I know absolutely nothing about Bridge besides that it's a card game, a very confusing card game!

  7. @Karen America Pacifica is a fictional, post-apocalyptic book of which I hated, hated, hated the ending.

  8. @Meg Ugh, maybe after you finish the book we can talk about it. I hated it in a big way.

  9. @Just one page at a time I like it a lot. I'm hoping to finish it tonight or tomorrow!

Hi! Welcome to A Bookish Affair. If you leave a comment, I will try to either reply here or on your site!

As of 6/6/2011, this book is now an awards free zone. While I appreciate the awards, I would rather stick to reviewing more great books for you than trying to fill the requirements.
