So aside from hammering out reviews, I've been pretty quiet in the blogosphere recently. I haven't been getting out to visit all of my wonderful book blogger friends. I haven't even been returning comments here. And I figure I owe you all an explanation so you know where I'm at and that I'm really, really trying not to be a jerk.

Umm... thank you :( |
Things have been more than a little stressful in many of the things that I do outside of book blogging (yes, it pains me to admit that there are other things out there besides reading and talking about what I've read) right now. Busy-ness abounds. And while I like being busy, I've been so busy that other things have had to give and I feel terrible about it. I'm still reading a lot because I find that I have a tendency to read a lot more when I'm stressed out (I need that great escape), which is why I've still been doing reviews.

So stressed... |
I am hopeful that things are going to normalize eventually but I am really not sure when that will actually happen. So hang with me, prettiest of pleases? I promise I'm really, really not trying to be a jerk! Here's some cute gifs to bribe you with:
I promise that as soon as things begin to calm down, things will get back to normal!
That owl GIF is pretty cute. So apology accepted! Haha... kidding. No apologies needed in the first place. Hope everything stabilizes for you soon!
ReplyDeleteGeorge Costanza :) loved this role in Seinfeld:)
ReplyDeleteHey, no need to apologize - we do have "lives" (most of us):
Heehee, I love the "So stressed..." gif. My kids (and husband) see me making that pained face a lot, lol. I hope things calm down for you soon.
ReplyDeleteIt happens! That was me a few months ago, and it's me now. I keep scheduling reviews out one Sunday a month, but like you, I don't feel "present" like I usually do. It'll come, though. Life is like that.
ReplyDeleteI've been feeling a bit like this for the past year - blogging almost automatically, yet not having(taking) the time to comment back and enjoy all aspects of blogging. I think most of us (if not all!) go through times like this, so no apologies necessary! I hope you are soon stress-free :)
