Book Blogger Hop (6)


This week, Crazy For Books asks a SCARY question:  “How many books are currently in your To-Be-Read (TBR) Pile?”

Hrm... maybe we should have waited to ask this question during Halloween or something. According to Goodreads, my TBR pile currently stands at 763 books. I'm scared for myself, guys.

What's your TBR pile at? How do you keep track of which books you still need to read?

    Okay...now I'm only counting the ones I have physically...in my house or on Sparky, my Kindle. If I counted the ones at Goodreads, that would be appalling! LOL

    Just hopping by! My TBR list is over a thousand - and that is just ones I own! I use BookCollectorz and goodreads to organise them but neither are up to date

    Right now, I have 187 books on my To Read shelf at Goodreads. However, I don't add EVERYTHING there. I'm afraid I would get overwhelmed. When I come across an ebook through my library's web site, I add it to my wish list there if it looks interesting. And if I am browsing at Amazon or Barnes and Noble, I do the same thing. I only add it to my Goodreads once I have definitely decided I want to read it. For example, I want to read a good Lincoln biography this year, but I don't plan to read all of the dozen that looked interesting. Once I settle on one or two, they will go to Goodreads.

    I thought I was bad with 384 books on my to-read list. lol

    This is both books i have here as well as books I see that i like the look of but haven't yet tracked down.

    I copy all the titles and authors into a word processing document and print it and that is what i take to the library with me when I go. This way if I don't see anything new I like to read, I can jump on the computer and have a look to see if the ones on my list are in the catalogue.

As of 6/6/2011, this book is now an awards free zone. While I appreciate the awards, I would rather stick to reviewing more great books for you than trying to fill the requirements.
