Odds and Ends: The Green Edition

We had a very relaxing weekend around here. I've been a little overwhelmed with life in general lately so I was happy to have a weekend where we didn't do too much of anything especially because the next couple weekends are going to be packed full! I got in a good deal of reading, which always makes me a little happier.

From my garden, you guys!

Our yard is finally looking more finished. For the past couple weekends, we've been doing a lot of landscaping. There are a couple things ready in the garden already. We have asparagus growing like mad. We also have delicious kale. I've also been really surprised with how well our strawberries have done. I've never had a lot of luck with strawberries but I'm actually getting some good sized strawberries that are amazingly sweet! I can't wait for all of the other goodies that we planted to be ready!

  1. I love that you garden! We are gardeners too and we love it. This year is our first year with strawberry plants. I don't expect a lot from them at first, but I'm excited to get strawberries like yours in the years following.

  2. Yum, the strawberries look delicious! We just planted ours today, so it will be a while before any are ripe. Enjoy!

  3. My strawberries all died this year. I have been trying to get this little patch to grow for years and this time they are finally just done. Good ridden strawberries!!!!! :)

Hi! Welcome to A Bookish Affair. If you leave a comment, I will try to either reply here or on your site!

As of 6/6/2011, this book is now an awards free zone. While I appreciate the awards, I would rather stick to reviewing more great books for you than trying to fill the requirements.
