It's Monday, What Are You Reading?

Just Finished:

My review of this one will be up later this week!

Currently Reading:

I'm only 10% into this book (Kindle reading, you understand) but already, I've been sucked in!

Reading this one in anticipation of the third book in the series, which I got a chance to review as part of a book tour. Woot!

Next Up:

I'm anxious to read this one especially considering the economic situation going on right now.
What are you reading?

***Don't forget to enter the giveaway for the Veronica Li books. The giveaway has really low entries and the books are excellent. You know you want to enter!!!***

  1. Oh my! I love the Iron Fey series so much! Just a fun, fun, fun series. I'm glad you're sucked in & I hope you stay sucked in all the way through til the series is done...

AND...I am a HUGE HUGE HUGE John Steinbeck fan. The Grapes of Wrath is my favorite of his longer novels. It's so great. I'm so happy that you're reading it!

I'm about halfway through Divergent and it is INCREDIBLE!

  2. I'm re-reading The Wife by Sigrid Unset, part of the Kristin Lavransdatter trilogy. But it's almost like reading it anew, thanks to the more modern translation by Tiina Nunally. It's fantastic.

  3. Ah, The Grapes of Wrath is a fantastic book - and like you said, rather timely. I hope you enjoy it!

Also, I'm anxious to see your thoughts about the Iron Fey series. I had mixed feelings - but I did like the first book the best.

    Happy reading!

  5. LOVE Philippa Gregory!! Currently, I'm reading "My favorite midlife crisis yet". I have a stack of books on my living room chest & coffee table, everything from Tammy Hoag (mom's recommendation), to the old Nancy Drew books, and "Gone with the Wind". I have so many books I want to read, I need a vacation so I can read them all!!

  6. @SweetestLittleBookworm I think Grapes of Wrath will only be the second Steinbeck book that I've read (Mice of Men was the first).

I almost missed my stop on the subway this morning because of The Iron King!

  8. @Kat @ NoPageLeftBehind The first book is reminding me of The Labyrinth movie so far, which I'm a huge fan of!

  9. @dollycas aka Lori It's funny how books are like that sometimes. The Great Gatsby is like that for me. Now it's one of my faves!

Hi! Welcome to A Bookish Affair. If you leave a comment, I will try to either reply here or on your site!

As of 6/6/2011, this book is now an awards free zone. While I appreciate the awards, I would rather stick to reviewing more great books for you than trying to fill the requirements.
