Review and Giveaway: I Think I Am In Friend-Love With You by Yumi Sakugawa

Title:  I Think I Am In Friend-Love With You
Author: Yumi Sakugawa
Format: Hardcover
Publisher: Adams Media
Publish Date: December 6, 2013
Source: I received a copy from the PR; however, this did not affect my review.

Why You're Reading This Book:

  • You want to feel the warm-fuzzies.
What's the Story?:

From Goodreads.com: "I have a confession to make.
I think I am in friend-love with you.

What's friend-love? It's that super-awesome bond you share with someone who makes you happy every time you text each other, or meet up for an epic outing. It's not love-love. You don't want to swap saliva; you want to swap favorite books. But it's just as intense and just as amazing.

And it's this search for that connection that comic-book artist Yumi Sakugawa captures in "I Think I Am in Friend-Love with You." It's perfect if you've ever fallen in friend-love and want to show that person how much you love them...in a platonic way, of course."

My Two Cents:

I have always been lucky to be surrounded by truly amazing friends. I love the relationships that I have with my friends. The bonds between us seem truly magical. "I Think I'm in Friend Love With You" celebrates those amazing bonds of friendship.

The story is simple but the meaning is powerful. This is the kind of book that you will want to pass along to all of your friends to say "friend, this is what I think about you and why you are amazing." It would actually be a really adorable Valentine's Day gift for your closest friends or those that you hope will be your friends (really, Valentine's Day should be a day to celebrate all kinds of love not just romantic love)!

Not only does this book have a super cute story but it also has really adorable illustrations that I am absolutely enamored with. The illustrations really make this book special!

This book will make you think of all of the friends you have and all of those that you will have!
