It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

'It's Monday! What Are You Reading?' is a weekly meme from Sheila over at Book Journey.

Currently Reading:

I started reading this series a few years ago but I never got through all of the books. When I saw that Mini Shopaholic was coming out, I decided to start reading the series and after the last book that I finished, I need some light reading.

Which brings me to the books that I just finished. The husband was out of town this weekend and I didn't have much going on so I got a lot of reading done. I finished three books this weekend!

I have a review up for this book now!

I also have a review up for this one and I'll have an interview with the author up soon!

Has anyone else read this book? This is one of the most disturbing books that I have read in a really long time but it was incredibly powerful. I'll have a review up for this one later today!

What's next on the list?:
I'm excited about this book. I love Susan Vreeland's books!

So what are you reading this week?

  3. Definitely interested in your thoughts on The Tapestry Of Love -- will have to check out your review! I started it last fall but couldn't get immersed in the story... I haven't given up on it, though.

  8. I haven't heard of Tiger, Tiger but it sounds interesting. Disturbing books are good is fine as long as there's a strong story to back it up I think. Have a great week!

  10. @Bonnie Great! Let me know how you like it. I've liked a lot of Vreeland's other books that she's written!

  11. @Meg I think the best way to think of the book is to think of it as a very peaceful vacation and who doesn't like a vacation? I would definitely give the book another try!

  12. @Sue Jackson It was wonderful! It's so rare that I have that much time to read!

  13. @Samantha Totally agreed. The author definitely had a well-thought out purpose in writing such disturbing things. It definitely wasn't needless or out of place in the overall story.

Hi! Welcome to A Bookish Affair. If you leave a comment, I will try to either reply here or on your site!

As of 6/6/2011, this book is now an awards free zone. While I appreciate the awards, I would rather stick to reviewing more great books for you than trying to fill the requirements.
